The Saffron Soul Patchwork Kantha Jacket is a glorious mixture of colour, pattern and character. Made in India from upcycled sari fabrics, every section has its own print and personality, brought together with rows of traditional Kantha running stitches.
The colourful sari exterior is attached to a cotton reverse Kantha layer, creating a soft double-layered jacket with a lovely weight and texture. It has a relaxed open front, comfortable three-quarter sleeves and two useful front pockets.
Wear it over a simple vest and jeans, add it to a flowing dress or pile it on with all your favourite colours. There really are no rules with a jacket like this.
This is a genuine one-of-a-kind piece. The jacket shown in the original garment photographs is the exact one you will receive, and this particular arrangement of colours and patches will never be repeated.
A note about upcycled fabrics
The sari fabrics used to create this jacket have lived a previous life. Loose threads, tiny holes, irregular stitching, small marks and variations in the fabric may be present.
These characteristics are part of the upcycled nature and individual story of the jacket. Please look carefully at all the original garment photographs before ordering.
Size and fit
One size, recommended for approximately UK 10–14.
The jacket will feel relaxed on a UK 10–12 and sit slightly neater on a UK 14. It has an open front and is best worn over a vest, T-shirt or lightweight layer.
